Student Ambassadors

Welcome to The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N. Student Ambassador Program!

We’re glad you’re here! The Student Ambassador Program gives local high school students like you a chance to participate in volunteer and educational activities with The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N. and the Environmental Services Department of The Woodlands Township.

Through participation in programs like Adopt-A-Path, the Earth Day GreenUp, Arbor Day tree planting, and many others, you’ll gain experience and knowledge about current environmental issues and provide valuable service to our community. You can also get involved in teaching younger ages about the environment, get your hands dirty growing organic vegetables for those in need, work on outreach and publicity, help develop new TWG programs and resources, and earn certifications like the Texas Waters Specialist.

Student Ambassadors keep a log of their TWG activities throughout the year and receive recognition for their contributions to TWG and the wider community. To remain an active member of the program, Student Ambassadors must participate in at least 2 events per semester. Student Ambassadors who volunteer with TWG for 20 hours or more in a single year qualify for special recognition as members of the Student Ambassador Leadership Corps. Your active participation in the Student Ambassador Program entitles you to free membership in The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N. And if you are an active Ambassador as a high school senior, you’re eligible to apply for TWG’s scholarship program.

So, what are you waiting for?! Come join us!
